Overview

Sylvania is located 22 kilometres south of the Sydney CBD and is a large suburb which is offen divided into 3 areas – Sylvania, Sylvania Heights and Sylvania Waters.

Sylvania is mostly residential but also contains areas of native bushland and some commercial developments.

Southgate is a major shopping centre located on the corner of the Princes Highway and Port Hacking Road and features Sylvania Library, KMart, Coles, Woolworths and many specialty shops.  Other neighbourhood shopping strips can be found on the Princes Highway next to Tom Ugly’s Bridge and on Box Road and Princes Highway Sylvania Heights.

For boating enthusiasts Sylvania Marina is located in Harrow Street and Tom Ugly’s Bridge Marina is on Princes Highway next to the bridge.

Housing comprises of a mix of affordable homes, units, villas, townhouses, luxury homes and waterfronts.
